If another unit financed recently, is mine automatically eligible?
A lender still needs to review the current project and the loan you are requesting. Insurance, repairs, finances and program requirements can change. Share the building and unit details early.
Can I use the condo myself and rent it part of the year?
Explain both plans, including any rental management agreement, before choosing the loan. Personal use, rent and control of the unit can affect whether the lender treats it as a second home or investment property.
Does the HOA fee include all my insurance?
Ask for the master policy details and a quote for your own unit and belongings. The lender and insurance agent can explain required coverage and deductibles. Do not assume the dues cover every risk.
What happens if the lender finds a building problem?
Ask which requirement is not met and whether records or completed work could resolve it. Another program may have different rules, but a different loan does not make repair or insurance risks disappear. Compare those risks before proceeding.
What should I share first?
Send us the address, unit number and HOA or manager contact. Share the price or loan balance and how you plan to use the condo. We can explain which papers we need next for you and the building.
